As a dedicated writer and editor for many years now, I embrace the challenges I am given by clients to provide an effective and eclectic range of services for those in need of my well-rounded experience in the field.
I have been extremely fortunate to have encountered the most inspiring and diligent of mentors along the way, from teachers, tutors and professors to editors and colleagues, all of whom encouraged me and helped me to hone my natural skills.
Having worked as a copywriter for television, a newspaper journalist, proofreader, editor, ghost writer and creative writing teacher, I have learned (and continue to learn) so much from my work, which I love. I have written, rewritten and edited many academic works for students, including several successful theses on such subjects as art, psychology and English literature.
I have worked in advertising as a copywriter, ghost written for authors who had the idea but needed me to help develop it into a full manuscript, and compiled a history book from the research given to me.
With my knowledge of medical terminology, I can also transcribe medical reports and articles into reader-friendly English while being true to the precise meaning of the original content.
For non-native English speakers, I offer a particular service to help rewrite your material as you intended it. Having lived and worked in many foreign countries in my lifetime, I fully understand the struggles of non-native speakers to convey specific meanings in their written material, as often it is the local nuance you miss in your second language.
I continue to write and to teach creative writing classes, and am grateful to my students for allowing me to pass on to them the joys of writing and reading, and all the wonderful lessons I have learned on my journey.
